Dominion Energy’s lighting programs focus of virtual lunch and learn
The Beaufort, SC Regional Chamber of Commerce event takes place 12-1 p.m. Sept. 16 over Zoom
Local businesses with brick and mortar shops and larger facilities can dramatically cut costs on energy and maintenance costs with Dominion Energy’s energy efficient programs — which is the focus of the Beaufort Regional Chamber of Commerce’s next virtual Lunch and Learn Series scheduled for 12 p.m. Sept. 16.
The 60-minute Zoom video conference will cover Dominion Energy’s Small Business Energy Solutions (SBES) and EnergyWise for Businesses. The event is free and open to the public. Those interested must register at http://bit.ly/LightingLunchandLearn.
Dominion Energy South Carolina representatives, along with Joel Rudicil of LED Lowcountry, will discuss:
- How to qualify for the energy savings program
- How to apply for a retrofit
- How cost savings and lighting incentives are determined
- Case studies
The SBES program is designed for small business and nonprofit customers with five or fewer electric service accounts and an annual energy use of 350,000 kWh or less. Dominion Energy pays up to 90% of the cost, not to exceed $6,000, for recommended energy efficiency measures with an additional 10% discount on installation.
The EnergyWise program is available to any size commercial, industrial, institutional and government customers who have Dominion Energy South Carolina as their electric provider. This program provides incentives for energy-efficient equipment installations – including lighting, HVAC, food service equipment, and other energy efficient technology upgrades that can improve the bottom line. This program pays a set amount based on the technology, up to 50% of the total project cost, for recommended energy efficient savings with technical assistance for additional guidance.
